Today we felled a tree on the potential land of purchase. Rather, Ryan and our contractor felled a tree while Soleil and I played “guesstimate the landing
spot.” Based on the results of this game, I don’ think me or Soleil should be the fell-ers.
Tonight, sometime around midnight…Ryan will knock on the door of a large, nearby factory with lots of 18 wheelers parked for the evening shift. The goal: slip a few bucks to a workerperson who is willing to drive one of them trucks down our street and onto the land. We need to know that this is doable before purchasing this lot. This is becoming the most scrappy, get’erdone home building project you’ve ever heard of, huh? Limited means breeds creative minds.
This kitchen makes me think of what we’ll sort of end up with–all water and appliances along a single wall and an island for extra chopage and storage space. We won’t have fancy, white interior brick though. Nah we’ve decided to upgrade…to windows. And LOTS of them.
Alright, I’ll be back tomorrow with the results of the midnight truck plea and more!
