This evening has been spent browsing the loo selection. I don’t know that we’re 100% ready for the composting toilet, but we’re definitely looking into low flush/water-saving options. This is a tough one because it would be relatively easy for us to get our hands on a couple of standard toilet for free (if used) or around $60 (if new and from a surplus store). The eco versions, on the other hand, are easily $200 or more and not often found used. In the long run, the savings would be worth it so we are trying to work them into the budget.
Ryan took a bunch of scrap material from his Saturday deconstruction to the metal yard and came home with $75! Maybe we’ll put it in the crapper fund.
We found out today that we are part of an article entitled, “Dude, Your House Is Small.” It can be found in the latest issue of Hip Mama magazine, so check your local newsstands!
